Abstract
In 1974 I reported on the use of α,α-dicyanoethyl acetate for selective N-acetylation.1 A related study has shown that 8-acyloxyquinolines which are readily obtained by acylation of quinoline, serve the same general purpose yet unrestricted to acetamide formation. Keywords
