Abstract
The daily oral adm. of amphetamine sulfate (10 mg.) caused a significant increase in the erythrocyte numbers of 5 of 6 normal human subjects within 6-12 days. The results are explained by assuming that amphetamine increases hemopoiesis by causing a local hypoxia of bone marrow through a diminution of the blood supply to this tissue. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
