Abstract
The medium in which the larvae are reared and tested consists of: Citrated beef blood 15%, water 44.7%, ground lean meat 40%, and formalin (37% formaldehyde) 0.3%. The insecticide is incorporated in the medium from an acetone-Tween-20 solution. The toxicity of the materials is determined by adding newly hatched screw-worm larvae to the medium containing the insecticide and recording knock-down and mortality of the larvae over a period of 48 hours. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
