Abstract
The static potential is measured on ×10, ×12, ×24, and ×24 lattices at with high statistics. Using Wilson line operator-operator correlations, we find and . This new result compares favorably with that obtained from charmonium experimental data, but is significantly different from many previous lattice calculations. Our calculations use a hypercube parallel computer which in its full configuration performs at 0.6 gigaflops on this application.
