Abstract
Experiments have been carried out on the inelastic scattering of 2.5 Mev neutrons by chromium, bismuth, iron, and indium, using scintillation counters. Inelastically scattered neutrons and gamma rays were observed in a stilbene crystal and the results interpreted by a ratio method. Gamma radiation alone was observed in a sodium iodide crystal, using a normalization technique to eliminate the neutron background. Keywords
