Abstract
The authors report the case of a 1000-gm neonate who developed a frontal brain abscess due to a Serratia marcescens infection. The relationship of the mass to the neighboring ventricle and to the coronal suture was determined by computerized tomography. The mass was then successfully aspirated in the intensive care nursery with ultrasound guidance. A more prolonged operative procedure was avoided. Keywords
