Abstract
For the last 5 years, our laboratory has studied, for the French Navy, with a grant of the Direction des Recherches et Moyens d’Essais, the risks to crew members due to microwave exposure from radar. We are especially interested in the non-thermal effects of this radiation, and in the possible hazards which these effects can create. We have also wanted to verify that an exposure to a power density lower than the 10 mW/cm2 standard was harmless. This is not the case for pulsed EM fields on rodents. After the statement of experimental conditions, we shall review our work and the results. Keywords
