Abstract
Basal levels of cyclic[c]AMP and cGMP were determined in mouse epidermis in vivo after a single topical treatment with the tumor promoter phorbol myristate acetate. No changes in cAMP levels were found 0-72 h after treatment. A 2-fold increase in cAMP was found 36 h after treatment. This increase subsided by 72 h. The effect of phorbol myristate acetate on DNA, RNA and protein synthesis in the epidermis of Ha/ICR mice was also measured. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
