Abstract
An uncommon sonographic pattern was observed in 2 dermoid cysts. An echogenic upper and an echo-free dependent component were separated by a horizontal delineation, an observation that could be reproduced in a laboratory model. We believe that this finding is pathognomonic for a dermoid cyst. Keywords
