Abstract
Recent claims that ‘conventional hydrogen bonds may not be necessary for high efficiency and fidelity in DNA synthesis’ and that ‘DNA polymerase can exert high fidelity even when a base pair completely lacks conventional hydrogen bonds’ are shown to be in error.Keywords
