Determination of Neurochemically Important Compounds in Physiological Samples Using HPLC

Abstract
We review the application of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), coupled with amperometric (LC-EC) and/or fluorometric detection systems, to the determination of neurochemically important compounds. Methods for the measurement of the catecholamines and indoleamines (and their precursors and metabolites) in brain, cerebrospinal fluid, blood, and urine are presented.
