Bluish discoloration of the proximal region of the nails, azure lunules, has been described in argyria,1,2Wilson's disease,3and pseudomonas infections of the nails.4,5Similar changes have been noted in patients treated with quinacrine hydrochloride,6phenolphthalein,7and local applications of mercury.8,9 The Kayser-Fleischer ring, a green brown ring at the periphery of the cornea on its posterior surface due to local copper deposition, has, hitherto, been considered unique to Wilson's disease.10However, metallic deposits in Descemet's membrane have also been described in argyria.1Associated lens changes may occur in both conditions. We describe a case of argyria with azure lunules and corneal deposits with additional features of skin pigmentation and lens changes.
