Abstract
VIBRIO fetus is an important cause of infectious abortion in cattle and sheep1 , 2: however, reports of human infection are rare. Since this infection was recently observed in 3 patients at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, it was thought worth while to describe these cases and to review the previous literature concerning V. fetus infection in man.Case ReportsCase 1. A 67-year-old Negro sheet-metalworker (J.H.H. 795641) was seen with thrombophlebitis, fever and cardiac arrhythmia in the Emergency Room of the Johns Hopkins Hospital on January 8, 1958.
