The light and electron microscopic findings of a surgically excised intracerebral mass is presented. The ultrastructural study led to definitely exclude both meningioma (that was the original diagnosis at surgery) and intracerebral schwannoma, while substantiating the uncommon final diagnosis of fibroma.
