Abstract
The assumption of equal force constants in the potential functions of cis‐ and trans‐forms leads to a product rule for the planar vibrations of rotational isomers. The rotational isomers of symmetrical dichloro‐ and dibromoethane are trans‐ and ``gauche.''This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
