Abstract
A mathematical analysis of the existing standards of basal metabolic rate shows that the age gradient of heat production is the resultant of concomitant decrease and diminishing increase, and may therefore be expressed as the difference between 2 negative exponential terms, thus proximately defining the basal metabolic gradient throughout life.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
