Abstract

The complex C₆H₆Os(CCHPh)(PPrⁱ ₃) has been prepared from [C₆H₆Osl₂]₂via alkynyl(iodo)-, vinyl(hydrido)-, and vinyl(halogeno)-osmium compounds as precursors; it reacts with sulphur, selenium, and CuCl by electrophilic addition to the OsC bond.
