Abstract
This research examined relationships between perceived participation in the budget process and both motivation to achieve the budget and level in the organizational hierarchy. Need for authoritarianism and independence were introduced as moderator variables. The results indicate a positive relationship between perceived participation and motivation, and organizational level and perceived participation. Keywords
