Abstract
• This report discusses many of the issues raised during a two-day institute that focused on methodological problems encountered in psychiatric research. The topics range from the problems with psychiatric diagnosis and measurement to sampling issues and biases to specific statistical concerns. Attention is given to the need for improved communication and collaboration between psychiatric researchers and biostatisticians. Keywords
