Abstract
A modified Kraft analysis for the micro detn. of F in the blood was described. The ashing could not be carried out by the addition of oxidation reagents, since acidic substances form HF and alkaline materials (such as Na2O2) caused bumping and attacked the crucible. Best results were obtained bv a water extraction before the oxidation was complete and further treatment of the residue with 5% KClO4 under an O2 atmosphere in a gold crucible. The F was separated as H2SiF6 by repeated steam distillations from an H2SO4 soln. The final titration was carried out with aq. NaF and a ZrOCl-purpurin indicator. Horse serum, analyzed by the above method, contained between 49 and 70 [gamma] % F, while the values for human serum varied between 35 and 145 7 %.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
