Abstract
The species of Pogonophora hitherto found in Norwegian fjords are: Siboglinum ekmani (Jägersten, 1956), S. fiordicum (Webb, 1963), and Sclerolinum brattstromi (Webb, 1964a and b). One other species, Siboglinum norvegicum is found at a depth of 120 m in the Norwegian Sea to the west of the Shetland Isles, and in 1,165 m to the west of the Norwegian coast (Ivanov, 1960; 1963). A further undescribed species of Siboglinum has been taken from the Skagerrak not far from the Norwegian coast in 180 m (Jägersten, 1957). The first records of Pogonophora from Norwegian fjords are those of Brattström (1959) and Brattström & Fauchald (1961).Keywords
