Abstract
Rate constants have been obtained from thermal energy to about 1 eV mean relative kinetic energy for the exothermic reactions of H2O2+ with H2O, NH3, and NO and the endothermic reaction with CO. In addition, measurements of the charge-transfer reactions of O2+ with H2O2 and N2+ with H2O have been obtained over the same energy range. The proton-transfer reactions of H2O2+ with H2O2 and H3O2+ with H2O are qualitatively observed to be fast. The proton affinity of H2O2 is bracketed by these reactions to be 157±9 kcal/mole.Keywords
