Abstract
The three current regimens for the prevention of infective endocarditis are discussed and compared along, with at-risk patients and dentally-induced bacteremias. The principles of antibiotic prophylaxis, and other medical conditions where antibiotic prophylaxis is controversial or inadequately documented is critically analyzed.Keywords
