Abstract
The health and well-being of American surgeons has become the focus of several recent studies.1-8 These studies have addressed interactions among quality of life (QOL), burnout, depression, suicidal ideation, and medical errors. However, the prevalence of alcohol use disorders and their relationship to these outcome measures were not explored.Keywords
