This describes the results of a 6-year program of rehabilitation of chronic schizophrenic patients in a state mental hospital. This program is a cooperative effort of the staff of the Vermont State Hospital and the staff of the Vermont Vocational Rehabilitation Division. Statistical data are provided concerning the patients and the results obtained. The principal aspects of the program are described. Attention is called to the fact that though none of these aspects is unique the combination may be unique. This combination is analyzed with emphasis upon the team approach and upon the ways in which the program has provided the patients with "faith, hope, and love.".
