Abstract
A set of parameters has been derived for a global optical potential from elastic α-nucleus scattering with energies higher than 80 MeV. The geometry and energy dependence derived by Put and Paans was adopted. The optical model predictions were tested with data from elastic as well as from inelastic scattering. Keywords
