Abstract
This paper havebeen working on a variety of issues related to the copycontrol of video stored on digital versatile disks (DVD's).DVD players were introduced into the consumer marketsegment in late 1996 and have received an enthusiasticresponse. Current DVD players provide a very high-qualityvideo signal that is encoded on a read-only disk withthe same form factor as conventional audio CD's.
