Abstract
Comparative measurements are made on single crystals of copper phthalocyanine in order to investigate the electric, thermoelectric, and galvanomagnetic properties. A simple model is used to explain the thermoelectric measurements and the space‐charge limited current characteristics. This involves presence of electron traps of concentration of the order of 1013 to 1014 cm−3 and trap depth 0.88 eV below the conduction band. Copper phthalocyanine is an intrinsic semiconductor having an activation energy of 2.0 eV.
