Abstract
HLA-A, -B, -C and -DR typing was performed on 16 individuals whose PLA1 platelet group was negative. Ten were immunostimulated with PLA1 antigen by pregnancy or transfusion; 6 were responders and developed an anti-PLA1 antibody. A high incidence of HLA-B8 antigen was observed in the responders. This observation is supported by 5 other cases of alloimmunization reported previously. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
