Abstract
The electron-paramagnetic-resonance spectrum of was studied in single crystals of MgO. The spectrum exhibits a static Jahn-Teller effect with and the first excited vibronic singlet is . A theoretical estimation of the spin-Hamiltonian parameters yielded values very close to those obtained experimentally.
