Abstract
The disappearance curve of PAH from the plasma after a single intravenous injection in the dog was analyzed. PAH excretory clearance calculated from the disappearance curve was found to be in good agreement with infusion clearance for PAH in 11 of 15 comparisons. The total volume of distribution of PAH in the dog appears to be slightly greater than the volume of the extracellular fluid. The possibility of employing single injection disappearance curve analysis for the determination of renal plasma flow in circumstances when bladder and infusion clearances cannot be used is indicated. Keywords
