Abstract
The N2(B) :N2(C) product branching ratio from the Ar(3P0,2)+N2 reaction has been measured as 1.0±0.2 using the Ar(3P2)+Kr as a reference reaction. The experiments consisted of reacting mixtures of N2 and Kr with Ar(3P0,2) atoms in a flowing afterglow apparatus. The intensities of the N2(C–B) and N2(B–A) band systems were independently compared to the intensity of the 760 nm krypton emission. Keywords
