photochemical oxidants: sources, sinks and strategies

Abstract
This Conference, jointly sponsored by Carnegie-Mellon University (Environmental Studies Institute), the Air Pollution Control Association, University of Pittsburgh (Graduate School of Public Health), and the National Science Foundation (Science & Technology Policy Office), was held May 3-4, 1974, at the Seven Springs Conference Center near Champion, Pa. The Conference purpose, to review critically research and policy developments in oxidant air pollution control, was achieved by convening a group of 40 government, university, industry, and research institute personnel in a workshop format. Six consecutive workshop sessions were held, each devoted to a particular aspect of the oxidant problem: Each session is briefly reviewed below; a condensed volume of Conference proceedings will be available later.
