Abstract
Electron impact spectra obtained by the inelastic scattering of 390‐V electrons from helium, hydrogen, methane, ethane, cyclohexane, ethylene, and water are given. It is shown experimentally that, at small scattering angles and a fixed velocity‐analyzer setting, the scattered current as a function of pressure contains a maximum. The theory of this effect is discussed.Keywords
