Abstract
The features of this sp. from soil include resemblance to B. circulans but differ in that motile colonies and gas from glucose are not produced; casein is hydrolyzed, inspissated serum is liquefied and a restricted egg-yolk reaction is given. Growth is stimulated by 4% NaCl and pantothenic acid satisfies a nutritional requirement. Keywords
