Abstract
The basal metabolism of 20 young women was measured once each month to determine whether seasonal changes exert a measurable influence on the basal metabolic rate. The average values for the O consumption strongly suggest that the metabolism tends to rise to a higher level during the spring and summer. In many of the subjects there is a hint that the metabolism is lowered during the menstrual period. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
