Properties of theBi209Ground-State Analog inPo209

Abstract
The analog of the ground state of Bi209 was investigated by both the Bi209(p,n)Po209 and the Bi209(p,np¯)Bi208 reactions. The Coulomb energy difference Po209-Bi209 was determined as 18.92 ± 0.03 MeV, and the relative partial widths for proton decay into the p12, f52, and p32 channels were determined. The total width of the analog state was found to be 380 ± 80 keV.
