Abstract
Summary Pituitary homogenates and very low levels of placental gonadotropins induced implantation in the hypophysectomized pregnant rat maintained on progesterone. However, implantation was not induced by purified pituitary gonadotrophins at doses consonant with their activity as measured in other ways.
