Abstract
A new electro‐optic analog‐to‐digital converter that makes use of an array of channel waveguide Fabry–Perot modulators is reported. Since this converter utilizes only straight channel waveguides, it should possess the inherent advantages of small substrate size, simple geometrical layout, and low optical insertion loss. Experimental results obtained with a four‐bit converter in a X‐cut LiNbO3 substrate have demonstrated some of these desirable features. Keywords
