Abstract
The paper discusses the application of Budner's 16-item measure of intolerance of ambiguity in research with entrepreneurs. Results from two similar recent studies by Schere and Dollinger differ dramatically. Schere's sample of 52 tested low for intolerance of ambiguity while Dollinger's sample of 79 tested high. The statistically significant difference is attributed to the definition of the population and the sampling procedure employed. Keywords
