Abstract
Reviews the public health significance of E. coli 0157 infections and the related serious illnesses which may follow. Reviews outbreaks and detection in food sources. Discusses prospects for control and the need for more studies in this area, using more sensitive methods of detection, with regard to intervention and future control.Keywords
