Abstract
The authors have designed and fabricated monolithic optical waveguide 1.31/1.55 µm WDMs with –50 dB crosstalk over 100 nm bandwidth and fibre-to-fibre insertion loss of < 1 dB. They have used these WDMs to multiplex and demultiplex 60 analogue CATV channels at 1.31 µm and 85 digital video channels at 1.55 µm on a single optical fibre. Keywords
