Abstract
In this paper, we present measurements of the decay parameters for . The usual decay parameters , , and are related to by the equation and . Polarized were produced by the reactions in the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory's 25-in. hydrogen bubble chamber. The average momentum of the incident beam was 385 MeV/c. The measurements of were made by observing the left-right asymmetry in the interactions of those decay neutrons that subsequently scattered on the hydrogen in the bubble chamber. We obtain deg and deg. Since , this shows that takes place predominantly in the wave, whereas is dominated by -wave decay. These results are in agreement with the rule.
