Abstract
The operation of coupled waveguides based on lattice-modulated photonic crystals, which were fabricated by autocloning technology, has been demonstrated. Their fundamental operations as optical directional couplers at a wavelength of 1.55 µm was observed. The estimated coupling length was 330 µm, which was in good agreement with the calculated value. Keywords
