Abstract
The tunneling frequencies of the ammonium ion in a tetrahedral crystalline field have been computed as a function of the barrier to rotation and the librational frequency. For NH4I, the tunneling frequency determined by the analysis of the proton magnetic resonance line shapes is in good agreement with the predicted value. Keywords
