Abstract
In this paper we calculate the acoustical contrast of a dislocation line in an isotropic medium. The power of the reflected acoustic signal pulse as a function of lens to object spacing is called the V(z) curve. We use a model where the acoustic contrast changes are due to changes in the V(z) curve. We calculate the changes in V(z) due to a dislocation line and show that its effect should be vanishingly small consistent with experimental observations. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
