Abstract
Antibodies to the Fab'' fragments of human Ig[immunoglobulin]G are commonly found in human sera. The incidence of such antibodies is higher in women (blood donors and hospital patients) than in men; it is no higher in patients with malignant disease than in hospital patients of the same sex without malignancies. The incidence in hospital patients is always greater than in healthy blood donors. The presence of Fab'' antibodies is unrelated to pregnancy. The greatest difference in the frequency of such antibodies occurs between males and females under the age of 50.This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
