Abstract
Early treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis with penicillin is more effective than delayed therapy in suppression of antistreptolysin antibody formation. Treatment instituted as late as 5 days from onset of symptoms of pharyngitis results in significant antibody suppression.Keywords
