Abstract
Sialylation with N-phenyltrifluoroacetimidates as leaving groups and a catalytic amount of TMSOTf as promoter compares favorably with the previous protocols for direct sialylation and expand in essence the scope of the Schmidt glycosylation reaction.Keywords
