Abstract
Knockout of particles by 156-MeV protons from , , , , , and has been used to investigate the dependence of clustering in nuclei. Protons and particles were detected in coincidence under conditions of quasifree scattering. Corresponding reaction cross sections were measured. Cross sections for and were found to be about 2 orders of magnitude lower than for . The cross section for was found to be about 3 times lower than that for and . Upper limits of the integrated cross sections for and are still compatible with a dependence of the knockout process.
